Annual Reports

Each of Oxford County's WWTPs are regulated under Ontario Water Resources Act and operated in accordance with Certificates of Approval issued by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.   

The Certificates of Approval for Oxford County’s wastewater treatment plants require annual reporting of operational and treated effluent discharge parameters into the receiving streams.

Policies

Oxford County owns and operates all wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities within Oxford County.

Wastewater Abatement Policy
This policy provides large wastewater customers with the opportunity to negotiate a wastewater abatement agreement if they meet the policy criteria.

Hauled Liquid Waste Policy
This Policy provides the requirements for the acceptance of Hauled Liquid Waste (HLW) at County owned wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs).

Grinder Pump & Greywater Systems Policy
This policy applies where grinder pumps or greywater systems have been installed on private property to convey wastewater to the municipal sewer system. It is intended to detail the responsibilities of both the County and the property owner for the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Waste Management Changes

Changes are coming in 2026 and 2027 to curbside garbage collection New Waste Collection
